NTU-Mucho R&D Lab

Mucho Biotech collaborates with Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology, National Taiwan University to conduct research on Cordyceps with an exploration team that collects Cordyceps in the mountains of Taiwan, and furthermore established a cooperative R&D laboratory. Mucho Biotech R&D laboratory employs cutting-edge bio-engineering to assist the research on Cordyceps, which includes identification of species, extraction of rare components, and the development of applied products.

Current research topics are:
1. Decoding of the genes of the Cordyceps in Taiwan
2. Lab experiment on the anti-cancer effect of the combination of Cordyceps and Taiwanofungus camphoratus (Antrodia Camphorata)

Mucho R&D laboratory will focus its research on the beneficial effects of Cordyceps peptides on health and beauty, the age defying effect for instance.

Besides National Taiwan University, Mucho Biotech also teams up with Taipei Medical University, National Taiwan Ocean University, National Health Research Institute of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Research, National
Defense Medical Center, and Eastern Taiwan SME Entrepreneurship and Innovation Service Center to collaborate on further research. We also work with research institutes in Mainland China.

Mucho R&D laboratory will expand its reach to more world-renowned research institutes in the future. Its current collaborators include institutes from the U.S. and Japan, with whom researches are conducted on informational, systems, and natural medicine.

The exceptional quality of our Cordyceps and standardized cultivation procedures are the foundation of our research collaborations. We combine our research with Mucho Biotech’s development of a health business, and discover Cordyceps’ value besides Chinese medicine through science.
